The growing interest of Russian and Finnish companies to joint commercial projects imposes new demands to management
of these companies. They need increased knowledge in business culture, legislation and economic reality of the country of potential parter.
A large number of successful and economically stable enterprises in the Murmansk region
look attractive for Finnish businessmen who want to find a partner in Russia for promotion of their
production and services to the rapidly developing Russian market.
At the same time a lot of Russian entrepreneurs show interest in development of joint business projects with Finland, in
opening companies and affiliates there, purchase of property or finding a partner, for example, supplier
of high-quality materials and equipment.
To meet these demands the Project Profitable Trade in Barents II was initiated with the objective to become an
instrument for development of efficient business contacts between entrepreneurs of the Murmansk region and
Northern Finland and for increasing their competence in the field of cross-border business cooperation.
